We will also begin reading The Outsiders. This is an excellent book written by S.E. Hinton. We will compare and contrast the gangs and talk about the different themes in the novel.

We will also start our writing unit on persuasion. A persuasive essay is meant to influence your audience to think or act a certain way.

The Due Date
My classes are having fun counting down the days until I have my first child. After our last doctors visit, We think she will be arriving earlier than the due date. Maybe the first week of May!
